The relation between karma and soul is not only historical , it’s eternal. But the main question that arises is what came first karma or soul? It’s quite debatable. It is just like debating on what came first seed or tree. The relation between them is from eternity but not endless.

Karma and soul are like seed and tree. With the destruction of seed the tree does not grow in the same way with the destruction of karma the cycle of birth and death comes to an end. The soul achieves salvation and attain Moksha.

It is quite important to understand the chemistry of karma and soul. Only after understanding their chemistry we would be able to destroy the karmas. We do not suffer the consequences of the bad karmas immediately. So it’s possible to destroy these karma before we face consequences through attaining right knowledge, through identification of soul and meditation.

The relation between karma and soul is like water and milk. No matter how much water we add in the milk, we call it milk and not water. Similarly no matter how many karmas gets attached to the soul, it still remains soul and karmas can never overpower the soul. It is important to note that the way we can separate milk and water, in the same way we can also separate the karmas from the soul.

To attach soul to the true nature is called meditation. For this one needs to start practising forgiveness, patience, generosity, etc and stop the wrong doings of anger, selfishness, jealousy, greed, etc.

This way we can separate the bad karmas from our soul and destroy them forever.
